Presented in the 1956 year, the PK22 armchair by Poul Kjaerholm was immediately successful both commercially and critically. Thanks to the craft processes and the great design of this piece, in 1957 he won the Grand Prix at the XI Triennale of Milan, and in 1958 he won the Lunning Prize, the most prestigious art and design award in the Scandinavian countries.
Details: edited by Fritz Hansen with a piece for the seat and backrest upholstered in leather upper of Royal Nubuck suede and steel structure manufactured by hand anthracite gray color.

Poul Kjaerholm (1929-1980) was a leading figure in Danish furniture and one of the most important furniture designers of the 20th century. Originally trained as a cabinetmaker, he studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen, where he developed a vision of modern furniture, combining artisanal techniques with industrial production.
During his life, he was honored with numerous awards, including two Grand Prix at the Milan Triennial and the Lunning Award. His work is present in the permanent collections of museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
