The France armchair, or the FJ 136, as it is also known, was designed for the US brandet at the end of the 50 decade. Originally, the seat was sold disassembled, which was the business idea of ​​France and the main driver of its success in the US brandet. Today, however, the chair is delivered completely assembled.

Finn Juhl (1912 -1989) was an architect, interior designer and Danish industrial designer who specialized in furniture design. Considered the father of the concept 'Danish Modernism' or 'Danish design', he played an important role in a moment of restlessness and agitation in the development of Danish furniture design, and put Denbrand on the international design map thanks to his work .
His designs are a clear modernist expression, with soft edges and organic shapes that often lead to wood (usually uses dark woods such as teak) to its limits.
