The Egg Chair (Armchair Egg) is a creation of Arne Jacobsen edited by Fritz Hansen. It was designed for the lobby and reception of the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The task of designing each element of the hotel building, as well as the furniture, was the great opportunity of Jacobsen to put into practice his theories of integration of design and architecture. Due to its unique shape, it guarantees a little intimacy in public spaces. The Egg Chair is one of the triumphs of current design.
