Product description

Vitra has been responsible for converting miniatures furniture of the most prestigious designers on the planet. In this case, we present the collection of Saarinen miniatures, in which you can choose between two of Eero Saarinen's most mythical pieces of furniture. The Womb Chair & Ottoman and the Tulip chair have been reproduced in the smallest detail. The authenticity reaches even the natural grain of the wood and the reproduction of the screws and the complex artisan techniques used.

Brand

For more than two decades, the Vitra Design Museum has made miniature replicas of the most important pieces in its collection. The Miniatures Collection is a compendium of the history of industrial furniture design, from Historicism and Art Nouveau to Bauhaus and New Objectivity, from Radical Design and Postmodernism to the present day.
With a size that is exactly one sixth of that of the historical originals, the chairs are true to scale and reproduce every detail of construction, material and color. The authenticity reaches even the natural grain of the wood and the reproduction of the screws and the complex artisan techniques used. For this reason, miniatures have become very popular collectibles and ideal teaching materials for universities, design schools and architects.
Naharro furniture is Vitra's official distributor in its Madrid stores and online store.

Diseñador

Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) was born in Helsinki. His father was the well-known architect Eliel Saarinen. He studied sculpture in Paris and later architecture at Yale University. During the period of the thirties he studied at the Cranbrook Art Academy, where he forged a lifelong friendship with Florence Knoll. With the passage of time, this friendship became one of the most important design alliances of the 20th century.
As an architect he became famous for his designs of curved lines, especially on the roofs of his buildings, with which he managed to print them a great lightness. Internationally recognized by the Gateway Arch of Saint Louis and the TWA Terminal of the JFK Airport in New York.
Naharro furniture distributes the pieces designed by Eero Saarinen in its stores in Madrid and online store, with delivery and assembly service throughout Spain. Ask us any additional information.
