Neri & Hu is inspired by the textures, reliefs and patterns of the tiles on the streets of Shanghai. The name of the collection responds to the Chinese character Jie 街 that embodies the essence of the city: movement, dynamism and its frenetic activity.
The character "Jie" is composed of a root and a phonetic. The old character ideograms interpret the street as an intersection, evoking "life" at the intersection, while the central part of the character consists of two characters "earth", whose ideogram shows a clay on the potter's wheel ... a connection with the ceramic colors that Neri & Hu uses for the series.
Details: Manufactured using the "hand tufted" technique, the Jie carpet has different heights and finishes and is made with 100 wool, virgin wool.
