Vitra, Herman Miller and the Eames Office decided to join forces to transform eucalyptus wood into a limited edition of 600 Occasional Tables LTR Eucalyptus.
The idea for this legendary plastic chair was born in 1948 for the Low-Cost Furniture Design competition, organized by the Museum of Modern Art.
When it was born in 1956 there was nothing like it, the design was completely new and today it is the great modern classic par excellence.
If I were a chair, I have no idea what chair it would be because there are too many that I like… possibly it would be a Tolix, a Standard de Prouvé or a Febo by Maxalto.
