With a clear inspiration from surreal art, Finn Juhl he designed the Poet sofa in 1941. This sofa was an experiment designed for his own home, but cabinetmaker Niels Vodder introduced it to the cabinetmakers' guild that same year. The appearance of this piece in the Danish romantic film 'The poet and his wife' in 1959, earned it its definitive name, Poet sofa.
We are facing an icon of Danish culture and the world of design in general published by Onecollection -through House of Finn Juhl—.
