Elegance and sobriety PK22 armchair edited by Fritz Hansen summarizes the work of Poul Kjaerholm and his search for the ideal type of industrial form and dimension, which was always present in his work. The steel profile comes from his graduation project, the chair "Element" (PK25), from the School of Applied Arts in Copenhagen. In PK22 the structure is divided into separate elements due to its design and improvements for economic production.
In the 1957 year the chair received the Grand Prize of the Milan Triennale.
