The Coffe Table of Alexander Girard entered the catalog of Knoll in 1948, and since then it reflects the classic spirit of the brand perfectly. Not surprisingly, he figures prominently in one of the most iconic portraits of Florence Knoll and her dog, Cartree.
Impeccable walnut envelope, organic shapes, beveled edge to 45 degrees ... In addition the shape allows to place the table with the straight or asymmetric side towards the seating area, which provides a large surface in relatively narrow spaces. Girard's work has been the subject of numerous museum exhibitions, including a retrospective of 2004 at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.
Details: Finished in walnut.
