The folds of the Taliesin 1 chair, by designer Frank Lloyd Wright, look like origami; and they really are. Its skeleton is made with a single piece of folded plywood, like a papyrigoglyphic craft.
Created for the first time in 1949, Cassina regained the iconic seat between 1986 and 1990. Three decades later, in collaboration with the Frank Lloyd Wrigt Foundation, the firm reviews the design and adds some small adjustments for greater comfort, such as a more reclined backrest and a thicker layer.
