When illuminated, the half glass diffuser and the mirror reveal a series of ringed geometric shapes, creating the impression of infinite volume within a finite space. Rosie Li was born in Zhengzhou, China, and immigrated to the US for the 3 years. In fourth grade, his art teacher discovered his creative skills when it comes to representing animals, encouraging him to continue studying drawing and painting. This interest led her to the Rhode Island School of Design at 2007, where she developed a sensitivity to materials and rational design.
Mixing graphic elements and geometric shapes, Rosie creates works that challenge visual abilities and perception. At 2015, he founded his design studio Rosie Li Studio in Brooklyn.
