Product description

One of Greta Grossman's greatest achievements, along with the Gräshoppa collection, was the collection of Cobra lamps. Edited by Gubi, this table lamp, also available in wall and standing versions, is characterized by its oval shape reminiscent of the neck of a cobra snake. The tubular arm is flexible and can be bent in all directions, the oval panel allows a turn of 360º.

Diseñador

Greta M. Grossman (1906-1999) excelled in the fields of industrial design, interiors and architecture. This Swedish designer emigrated in the 40 years to the USA and was imbued with the Californian modernism of the mid-twentieth century.
During the decades of 40 and 50 he made his most representative designs, among which the Gräshoppa floor lamp (1947) and the Cobra lamp (1950) stand out. With this latest design, he won the prestigious Good Design Award. He has exhibited at the MoMA in New York or at the National Museum in Stockholm, among others.
