The winkel lamp is the result of a progressive collaboration between Wästberg, the designer Dirk Winkel and the chemical company BASF. Working with characteristics such as solid plastic and largely of biological origin, LED and micro springs highly qualitative and efficient, they have spent more than three years developing what is considered the most refined task light ever seen.
W127 winkel challenges the perception of a material that people know as simply plastic, going beyond the norm, not only in terms of function and appearance, but also in terms of the feel of the material. The objective was a significant impression of substance, of materiality: the design celebrates the real material as it is, simple, solid and honest, with a concept of not hiding anything, but showing its most intimate values abroad. There is no second skin, no layer of paint; The true material, bold in its pure form.
It uses a new material of high performance that offers the possibility of making large and solid cross sections, which gives us the tact and the desired technical characteristics. It is based on more than 60% of the material of biological and recyclable origin.
