Product description

The source of inspiration for Ilmari Tapiovaara for the Maija lamp it was the Maya bee (in the German original: Die Biene Maja), a nice character from a 1902 children's book, from which came some comic strips and a very popular Japanese TV series, translated by Maija in Finland .
Tapiovaara imagined a tower of overlapping metal saucers through which the light of a gleaming honeycomb, full of life, pours out. Originally the saucers were pale pink, and then white, both versions offered today by Santa & Cole.
Details: Floor lamp 36 cm diameter x 67 cm height. Metal screens in white and matt brass feet.
