Description
Chairs and sofas designed by Finn Juhl of the 1940 decade and early 1950 are truly original. No other furniture designer has expressed so radically the Surrealist sculptural forms that dominated that era parallel to the trends that reigned in the art scene.
The 1950 Wall sofa is not only an excellent example of Finn Juhl's inspiration for the so-called free art of his time, but also his ambition to cross borders to defy gravity and create movement. The asymmetrical backrest, excessively upholstered, almost floats like a cloud over the seat, held by an almost invisible structure. It is upholstered by hand in fabric. The powder-coated steel structure is anchored in the wall, hence the name of the sofa.
Details: Light gray steel tube structure. Price for backrest upholstered in Remix 2 0823 fabric and seat in Remix 2 0383.
