Gabriele Mucchi (1899-2002) was born in Turin, and was an engineer and painter; He continued his career in Milan, Berlin and Paris from 1927 to 1934. When he returned to Milan he participated in the avant-garde movements of the time. To highlight its creative and functional role in the Milanese group of rationalist architects. In 1934 the Vía Marcora house was created, one of the first examples of Rationalist architecture in Milan. In 1935 he designed and built some metal furniture, including the Genni armchair. From 1955 he devoted himself exclusively to painting and was a professor at the East Berlin Academy and the University of Greifswald.
