Limited Edition - Occasional Table LTR Eucalyptus

La Low Table Rod Base, Also known as L, is a small and versatile side table designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950. Some of the original LTRs are still in the Eames House, in Pacific Palisades, California. The Eames House is located in a eucalyptus forest, two of which had to be cut down by the Eames Foundation in 2018 as part of the site's conservation plan. Vitra, Herman Miller and the Eames Office they decided to join forces to transform the wood of these trees into a limited edition of approximately 600 Occasional Tables LTR Eucalyptus. The warm color of the eucalyptus board is combined with the stylized black powder-coated base to give this compact side table a natural and contemporary look.

Eucalyptus wood is known for its density and its resistance to deterioration and decomposition. Thanks to its special cellular structure and its high oil content, eucalyptus repels moisture and insects. Over time, exposure to light alters the color of the wood and gives way to a beautiful natural patina.
