Toshiyuki Kita (Osaka, 1942) studied design at Osaka University, where he later became a professor in the design department. In 1967 he inaugurated his own design studio and began researching contemporary products, maintaining the artisan traditions of his pieces.
In 1969 he began to develop furniture and moved to work in Italy, collaborating with prestigious firms such as Moroso and Cassina.
Kita has received numerous awards for her designs and her work has been exhibited in numerous places around the world.
