Pablo Palazuelo

Pablo Palazuelo (Madrid, 6 of October of 1915- Madrid, 3 of October of 2007) He was a painter, engraver and sculptor, initially trained as an architect, who soon abandoned his studies and devoted himself fully to painting. He studied in England where he forms the group Geometric Abstraction along with three other artists.
Kandinsky Award in 1952; Gold Medal of the Fine Arts in 1982; National Prize of Plastic Arts in 1999; Velázquez Award in 2004. His work is the result of a dominant conception of excessively linear abstraction, which starts with post-impressionist experiences in the transition to the twentieth century and in the sixties manages to reach the purest minimalism.
Palazuelo sees art as "a way to give way to human problems". He has made countless solo and group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. And now his work is spread around the world in different museums, collections and art galleries.
