Mathieu Matégot (1910 - 2001) was a Hungarian designer and architect based in France after studying at the school of art and architecture in Budapest. He began to produce hand-made furniture in the Paris of 1944 and was a pioneer in the combination of tubes and perforated sheet metal by ritigulle, a technique patented by himself that characterizes his work.
His numerous trips around the world helped him find inspiration and learn new techniques that he transformed into his unique designs.
