Born in Padua, Massimiliano Alajmo and his brother Raffaele represent the third generation of a family of restaurateurs, who carry a passion for hospitality, raw materials and cuisine in their DNA.
Massimiliano, after graduating from a restaurant management school in Italy, continues his culinary training in the kitchens of leading Italian and European chefs such as Alfredo Chiocchetti, Marc Veyrat and Michel Guérard.
Once back in Padua, Max assumes the management of the kitchen of “Le Calandre” and his brother Raf the general management. Together, the Alajmo brothers work passionately with an ambition to transform their parents' modest restaurant into one of the best in the world.
On November 27, 2002, “Le Calandre” received 3 stars from the Michelin Guide, making Max, at just 28 years old, the youngest chef to obtain this triple distinction.
In 2010 they collaborated with Davide Groppi for the design of the Ovonelpiatto and Ovo lamps, which are in charge of giving light to their successful restaurant.
