Jean Nouvel

Jean Nouvel (Fumel, 1945) took first place in the entrance exam of the National School of Fine Arts of Paris in 1966 and obtained his degree in 1972. Assistant architect Claude Parent and inspired by the urbanist and essayist Paul Virilio, he started his architecture works at 1970.
His strong positions and somewhat provocative opinions about contemporary architecture in the urban context, together with his inexhaustible capacity to inject originality in all the projects he undertakes, have forged his international image.
His works have gained recognition around the world through numerous awards and recognitions both in his country and internationally renowned.
