Charles Pfister (1939-1990), after obtaining a BA in Architecture from the University of California, he worked in the interior design department Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It was during this period that he created the Pfister Collection for Knoll, with production from 1971. At 1981, he founded his own company with offices in San Francisco and London.
Throughout his career, he gained recognition for his work in interior design, graphics, product design, architecture, completing several global projects, including the headquarters of Royal Dutch Shell in The Hague, the public spaces of Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt, headquarters of Citicorp in London, and the United Overseas Bank in Singapore.
