Díaz-Balart studied accounting, political science and economics in Havana before moving to New York in the 1959 year to study art at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The painting of Waldo Balart in its apparent geometric simplicity and exuberant color, raises questions of profound complexity regarding its search and meaning. Waldo Balart, painter and writer, fills his life solving equations and planning new problems that explain issues that we all concern: referential image, rationalist space, dynamic time, intuition of reason, level of consciousness, spirituality in art, aesthetic message. Between the years 1980 and 2008 exhibits in different Spanish galleries such as the Kandinsky gallery, Nuba and Edurne and European galleries in the cities of Brussels, Belgium and Nuremberg. Its international projection is growing.
