This Sevillian artist born in the year 1945 has become the benchbrand of the Spanish pictorial creation of recent decades, branding his own style that, in one way or another, has influenced the work of many artists of later generations. After passing the Faculty of Law, began his artistic training at the School of Fine Arts in Seville. During the development of his career, he has assimilated in a personal way the new creative languages of the last five decades. So in 1958, after living in Paris for several years, comes into contact with Informalism. Subsequently he knows Pop Art, which offers new and important means of expression. Its trajectory, always branded by continuous experimentation as well as by the change of registers, has been framed within abstraction, a definition that encorse a work that goes beyond, in an eagerness to discover new plastic horizons. The use of different media has led him to develop a parallel universe where references to reality, or parts of it, with imaginative, fully abstract, symbolic or narrative elements coexist on the same plane. In short, a language of its own, rich and complete, where he expresses his obsessions and uncertainties repeatedly, as a mental cartography.
