Javier Mariscal (Valencia, 1950) is a Spanish designer, illustrator and painter. He knew the popularity in 1989 (he had been working since the early seventies), when his character, Cobi, was chosen as mascot of the Barcelona 92 Olympic Games. In 1990, the Mariscal Study was created, from which most of the works arise today.
Creator unattainable, is one of the most famous Spanish designers worldwide. It moves in various artistic fields such as illustration, graphics, textile prints, ceramics, furniture and object design, audiovisual, interior painting and sculpture. His whole career is branded by the influence of comics and pop movement.
