Hella Jongerius (De Meern, The Netherlands, 1963) studied design at the Industrial Design Academy of Eindhoven. It attracts international attention for its collaboration with the Dutch design brand Droog Design. Between 1998 and 1999, she is a professor at the Eindhoven Design Academy. Between 2000 and 2004 he directs the Living / Atelier department. At 2000 he opens the JongeriusLab design studio in Rotterdam, where he also manufactures and brandets many of his designs. The works of Hella Jongerius tend to be between design and craftsmanship, between art and technique.
With Jasper Morrison and Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, he is one of the main architects of Vitra Home, a collection in constant growth.
