Alexander Girard

Alexander Girard (1907-1993) was one of the most influential representatives of American post-war design. The focus of his heterogeneous work was textile design. It was in favor of abstract geometric shapes, usually together in bright constellations of colors.
Girard made a name for himself through his long career in the field of furniture, exhibition and interior design, as well as in the graphic arts. In 1993, the last year of his life, he bequeathed the contents of his studio to the Vitra Design Collection Museum: hundreds of drawings, prototypes and textile samples.
Naharro furniture distributes the pieces designed by Alexander Girard in its stores in Madrid and online store, with delivery and assembly service throughout Spain. Ask us for any additional information.
