Toshiyuki Kita (Osaka, 1942) studied design at the University of Osaka, where he later became a professor in the design department. At 1967 he opens his own design studio and starts researching contemporary products, maintaining the craft traditions of his pieces.
At 1969 he starts to develop furniture and moves to work in Italy, collaborating with prestigious firms such as Moroso and Cassina.
Kita has received numerous awards for her designs and her work has been exhibited in numerous places around the world.
