Philippe Starck (Paris, 1949) studied at the Nissim School in Camondo, Paris. In the early seventies he worked a brief period as an artistic director at Pierre Cardin. Then he establishes himself as an interior architect and furniture designer and begins with the two aspects of his extraordinary career: he becomes a star designer of international fame, among other things for his masterful self-creation and creates a practically unlimited number of projects and products.
At 1986 he teaches at the Academia Domus in Milan and at 1999, with the project developer J. Hitchcox, he founded Yoo, a design, branding and brandeting company focused on the residential, hotel and leisure sector.
